Reclaim the FIRE! – Day 111

From: The Pastor’s Heart
Title: “The Defining Moments”

I woke up this morning, gave thanks to the Lord for another day, grabbed a cup of
hot coffee, then proceeded to move forward with my regular work routine. I went into my
office, turned on my computer and logged into my email account to see what items I
needed to address before going deep into writing my new book. To my pleasant surprise,
someone sent a small note asking that they be added to the morning inspiration list. I was
reminded that somebody needed encouragement today and regardless of how busy we are
in life, we have to make time to build up one another in the body of Christ. So here’s what
the Lord placed on my spirit.

We don’t know who’s waiting on us today to remind them of their worth and value
to the kingdom of God. Someone you least expect needs your contribution to their world
in ways that you may not fully understand. It’s not always about the profoundness of your
intellection discourse or the accuracy of your spiritual discernment, but it’s simply the fact
that you’re willing to care. There’s nothing greater on this earth than the confirmation of
genuine brotherly love. You can reaffirm the greatness in someone who’s feeling worthless
if you just take the time to express love.

A defining moment is the segment in time that we always remember as critical and
impactful to our lives. It’s not the same for everyone, but it’s important to everyone. Most
of those moments don’t materialize out of strategic planning, but they come unexpectedly
to those who, at that time, are in greatest need. This reminds me of that defining moment
in the life of a grieving father in the bible who begged Jesus to remove the demon out of
his child that tormented him daily. He fought against this intrusion for years and instead of
it getting better, it grew worse. He went to the church and asked for help from the disciples
but soon discovered they were unable to change the situation. But when he turned to Jesus
and confessed that he believed, but simultaneously struggled in his faith, our Savior
forever turned his world around for the good.

Jesus told the man that all things are possible to those who believe. The father just
needed someone to remind him that his faith could move this mountain of sorrow in his
life. The father was at a moment when he needed the push to believe and the power of
Christ to become activated in his life. Someone needs you today to kickstart their faith by
showing them your heart and investing your time into their world. The songwriter once
said, “Only what you do for Christ will last”, and I’m a firm believer that our service to
man because of our love for God will make a difference.

I encourage you today to lay your problems to the side just long enough to be a
blessing. The more you touch others the quicker things will turn around for you. It’s a
defining moment – so go forward and maximize in ministry this time.

EVERYTHING WE DO MOVING FORWARD WILL BE INTENTIONAL AND DRIVEN WITH
PURPOSE TO REPRESENT THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN THE BEST POSSIBLE LIGHT!
NOTHING WILL BE DONE WITH ENERGY LESS THAN OUR BEST AND EFFORT BELOW
OUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL.

OUR SERVICE IS LOCAL, BUT OUR REACH IS GLOBAL – SO WE CANNOT REDUCE OUR
PRESENTATION DOWN TO WHAT’S CONVENIENT, BUT RATHER WE MUST RAISE IT TO
THAT WHICH IS EXPLOSIVE!

Get ready for major change that’s coming systematically, intellectually, purposefully, and
professionally. Nothing we do moving forward will be done haphazardly, sloppily, poorly,
or carnally.

We Are the LIGHT!

Sincerely,
